Battery storage

Make every shutoff irrelevant.

A home battery is for two things. The outages, planned or not. And the power you make that the grid pays pennies for.

The math

Store it. Use it. Keep the value.

Here is the math the utility hopes you never do. Around here you buy power for call it forty cents a kilowatt hour. Send your extra solar back and you get paid closer to eight cents. Same electricity. A fraction of the value.

A battery closes that gap. It stores what your panels make and runs your home on it when rates are highest. You stop selling low and buying high. That is how families get a utility bill near zero, with a solar and battery payment smaller than the bill it replaced.

And the backup power? That comes with it.

The shutoff

What is a PSPS shutoff?

PSPS stands for Public Safety Power Shutoff. During wildfire-risk weather, PG&E proactively de-energizes power lines, and entire neighborhoods go dark on a forecast rather than a fault. The shutoff ends when PG&E says it ends.

A battery rewrites that arrangement. Your panels fill it by day, your home draws on it when the grid is gone, and the decision about when your lights are on comes back to your house.

What we install

Which battery belongs in your home?

Westhaven Power installs Tesla Powerwall and Enphase home battery systems across Northern California, designed and installed 100% in-house and monitored 24/7 through Power Guard. We carry both for a reason: your home picks the battery, not a sales quota.

Tesla Powerwall 3

13.5 kWh of storage and 11.5 kW of continuous power in one unit, solar inverter built in. The whole-home workhorse. One box, serious muscle, set it and forget it.

Enphase IQ Battery 5P

5 kWh per unit, designed to stack. Built on the same microinverter thinking as Enphase solar: every unit works on its own, and the system grows in small steps sized to your actual usage.

Every home uses power a little differently, which is why we never lead with a box. We design first, then match the battery to the home.

100% in-house

Installed by the crew that designed it.

No subcontractors anywhere in the chain: the people who design your battery system install it, service it, and answer the phone when you call 866-575-4112. Power Guard monitoring watches every system we install 24/7.

Paying for it

Can incentives lower the cost?

Yes. What is available depends on where you live, and some of what is out there right now is substantial. Incentives change, program by program and year by year, so we track them as part of doing your homework. Ask us what applies to your address.

Questions

Straight answers

What happens during a PSPS shutoff if I have a battery?

Your house keeps running. A PSPS is PG&E proactively shutting off power during wildfire-risk weather. With a battery, the power your panels make during the day is stored at your house, so your home keeps running on your own power while the grid is down. We size the battery around the outages you actually face.

Which home batteries does Westhaven Power install?

Tesla Powerwall and Enphase. We install both, so the design decides which one fits your home instead of a sales quota. Either way, the same in-house crew installs it and Power Guard monitoring watches it 24/7.

How long will a battery power my house?

That depends on the battery, what you choose to back up, and how you use power. That is why we design the system around your home instead of quoting one number: we size storage for the outages you face and put the design in front of you before you decide.

Can I add a battery to solar I already have?

In many homes, yes. We start with what is already on your roof and design around it. Call 866-575-4112 or request your options online, and we will map the path from your current system to stored power.

Who installs the battery?

Our own crews. Westhaven Power is 100% in-house: the people who design your battery system also install it and service it. We never subcontract, and we have completed 10,000+ installations across Northern California in 15+ years.

What areas does Westhaven Power serve?

Northern California, from our Yuba City headquarters: the Yuba-Sutter area, Redding, Chico, Sacramento, and the Bay Area. Not sure if we reach you? Call 866-575-4112 and ask.

How it works

Three steps. You're in charge at every one.

  1. We share your options.

Every path for your home, in plain English. No pressure, no homework dodged.

  2. We design around your home.

Your roof, your usage, your goals. Never a template.

  3. You take charge of your power.

Our crew installs it. Power Guard watches it around the clock. The utility company stops making the rules.
